Symphonie Fantastique (1 Harp Reduction)
The second movement Un Bal was originally written by Hector Berlioz for 2 harps in orchestra. This version combines both parts into 1 harp part to allow the harpist ease of performing both parts. This version is not meant to become a norm, but simply for orchestras who are unable to hire a second harpist.
Bear in mind that the Harp 1 part is originally an orchestral excerpt and playing both parts together would naturally be more demanding of the harpist.
